TiC cermet rods’ hardness can not be higher than HRC62, HRC60 is the best. Once combined with high manganese steel substrate, surface hardning will happen under strong impact, that is the reason why the high manganese steel wear parts with titanium carbide steel boneded rod could get high wear resistance, while toughness and plasticity unchanged. If the hardness of TM52 titanium carbide-based carbide cemented carbide rods is too high, the rods will break during working.
