Deshan Co., Ltd. and Unijika Co., Ltd. jointly developed a “solar meter” that contains zirconium carbide and absorbs solar energy. It is a skin-core composite fiber. The core layer is a polyamide or polyester containing zirconium carbide. The skin layer is an ordinary fiber-forming polymer and is melt-spun from a twin-screw extruder. After the fiber is processed into clothing, the temperature inside clothes can be 2~8°C higher than that of ordinary clothes under sunlight, and the heat preservation effect is improved obviously; however, the heat preservation function is reduced when it is cloudy, and the temperature inside clothes is only higher than that of ordinary clothes. ~2°C”
